This is one of seven strategies that PAADA coalition members are addressing in Newport.
The Drug Free Workplace Committee, a sub-committee of PAADA and the Newport Chamber of Commerce have been working to encourage more businesses to adopt drug free workplace policies.
PAADA is surveying local businesses through the Chamber Newsletter to identify how many businesses have drugfree policies and if so, at what level.
For those businesses who would like to develop policies or strengthen existing policies, PAADA will be providing seminars on developing drugfree policies. There are also businesses in Newport who have committed to mentoring and encouraging businesses who would like some assistance.
